My work lives somewhere between humor, storytelling, and a slightly offbeat imaginary world where animals behave suspiciously like people.

A piece might begin with a pun, an old photograph, a breed characteristic, something happening in the world, or an animal whose personality is simply too good to ignore. From there, I build characters and environments that blend digital illustration, vintage influences, and a lot of small details.

Animals give us a wonderfully safe way to recognize ourselves. Put a person in a certain situation, and we may judge them. Put a dachshund there, and suddenly we’re laughing because we know that dachshund—or because we realize we might actually be that dachshund.

Digital illustration is at the center of my practice, but curiosity keeps pulling me beyond the flat page into dimensional paper reliefs, mixed-media pieces, and art objects. For me, the medium often follows the idea.

More than anything, I hope you find your own connection to the work. Maybe a character reminds you of a pet you loved, someone you know, or even yourself.

Maybe it simply makes you laugh. Life can get heavy. A little absurdity helps.
